The "Elbtunnel" is directly located at the "Landungsbrücken" – the gate to Hamburg's harbor. With 426 meter length, the "Elbtunnel" is a popular tunnel underneath the river Elbe for both – pedestrians and cyclists. Once arrived at the other end of the tunnel, the viewpoint Steinwerder awaits you from which you will have a fantastic panoramic view on the "Landungsbrücken" and the Elbphilharmonie.
Get to know a new perspective of Hamburg and explore the stair quarter Blankenese. Impressive town villas, numerous green parks and gigantic facades on the slopes of the Elbufer are going to await you. Climb or descend the more than 5,000 steps, walk and admire the architecture and the life of the wealthiest hamburger citizen. Our recommendation: Walk through the stair quarter to the banks of the Elbe river and walk along the "Strandweg" – an idyll you would never expect in a big city and which will take your breath away. In the direction of the "Falkensteiner Ufer" you can even discover a shipwreck and a lighthouse!
