Zagreb/Vienna, 18 December 2017 – ARCOTEL Allegra opened in central Zagreb in 2003. Fifteen years later, the lease agreement for the hotel in the Branimir Shopping Centre is due to expire at the end of December 2017. ARCOTEL Hotels endeavoured to extend the contract, but without success. The 150-room property will therefore be relinquished effective 31 December. The hotel will remain fully in operation until the end of the week.
"We as a hotel group would have liked to continue to operate this property," says Martin Lachout, CEO of ARCOTEL Hotel AG. "We believe in the location and are interested in new hotel projects in Zagreb."
"ARCOTEL Allegra means a lot to me personally and I associate a lot of fond memories with it. We would like to thank all of our guests, customers, business partners and anyone else who accompanied us along the way," says Dr. Renate Wimmer, owner of the ARCOTEL group of companies.
The ARCOTEL group, with 11 hotels in Austria, Germany and Croatia, is clearly positioned in the business and city hotel sector. The third hotel in its hometown of Vienna, ARCOTEL Donauzentrum, opened in August 2017. The family-run company, founded in Vienna in 1989, combines a personal and individual atmosphere with international standard and top quality. The group's more than 850 employees are part of an enthusiastic team.
