Go on a trip along the Danube and get up close and personal with nature and culture. The Danube Cycle Path is one of the most famous, most extensive long-distance cycle paths around. It stretches around 2,850 km from the source of the Danube in Germany to its mouth in the Black Sea. The cycle path runs along the banks of the Danube and passes famous cities, castes, monasteries and other sights.
The section from Passau to Vienna is the second most widely-used cycle paths in Europe. The route measures a good 326 km and takes you past many towns, including Linz. There are lots of options for a break along the re-designed riverbank area in Linz: Visit the Lentos Art Museum right on the Danube, the Ars Electronica Center, or go to an event in the Bruckner House. A quick drink in the Old Town is also really worth it.
