Stuttgart - the town between the forest and the vines

Stuttgart is the capital of the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, with a population of around 600,000 inhabitants. With a landscape characterised by valleys and vineyards, the city ranks as one of the commercially most important cities in Europe as the home of high-tech companies such as Daimler, Porsche and Bosch.

But as centre of culture, the city’s renowned Staatsoper, the collections of the Staatsgallerie and the Gallery of the City of Stuttgart have all made a name for themselves.
