ARCOTEL Wimberger Vienna - FAQ's

Can I change or cancel my reservation at any time I wish?
The exact cancellation conditions are outlined in the price information for the room rate you have reserved.

What can I do if I want to guarantee my reservation but I don’t have a credit card?
You are welcome to pay the room charge in advance, or to send us written confirmation on company letterhead that the room charge will be covered.

What happens to my room reservation if I arrive after 6.00 pm?
Unless you have guaranteed your reservation we are under no obligation to hold the room free for you.

Does ARCOTEL operate a payback system? Can points be collected?
Yes, we offer a GoodNight Passport which you can ask for at reception. For every 15 nights spent at an ARCOTEL hotel you will be awarded one free overnight stay.

Does the ARCOTEL Wimberger have a garage? Where is it? What are the hourly/daily parking charges? Can I go directly from the garage to my room?
Yes, the ARCOTEL Wimberger has its own garage with 224 parking spaces. Drive past the hotel to the traffic lights, turn right and then take the next right turn. The charges are EUR 2.40 per hour and EUR 16 for 24 hours, from the 7th hour onwards.
After checking in and receiving the card key for your room you will be able to take the lift from the garage directly to your floor. Before checking in, and if you are not a hotel guest, you will only be able to access the lobby from the garage.

Does the ARCOTEL Wimberger have a spa and fitness area? Where is it? Do I have to pay extra? What equipment is available? Do you have a swimming pool?
Yes, the ARCOTEL Wimberger does have a spa and fitness area on the 7th floor of the hotel and it is free for guests. You’ll find more information under Gym & Spa room. Although we have no swimming pool, guests are invited to enjoy a dip in our whirlpool.

Is smoking permitted at the ARCOTEL Wimberger?
Smoking is banned in all public areas. It is only permitted in Joe's Bar and in the hotel rooms on the 1st  and 2nd floors.

Is the reception at the ARCOTEL Wimberger manned after 11.00 pm?
Yes, a member of our team is available around the clock.

Does the hotel have internet access?
At the ARCOTEL Wimberger you have the choice of either free 128 KB broadband access or of paying for faster 1024 KB access. In both cases you will require access data which you will be given at reception. The charges for 1024 KB access will be automatically added to your room account.
 Three internet terminals and a printer are also available for use, free of charge, in the Business Corner on the 1st floor.

How far is it to the Westbahnhof? To Mariahilfer Straße? To the Stadthalle?
You can walk to the Westbahnhof (West Railway Station) in 5 minutes. Mariahilfer Straße and the Stadthalle are 10 minutes away by foot.

How far is it to the airport? What is the best way of getting there? What do the various travel options cost?

What is JOE'S MONDAY? When is it? How much does it cost?
JOE'S MONDAY is an event held each Monday night from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm at Joe's Bar in the ARCOTEL Wimberger. There is a small service charge of EUR 5 for snacks and live music. More information under Events.

By what time do the rooms need to be cleared? Is there a luggage room? Does storage cost extra?
We ask you to clear your room by 12.00 pm. You are welcome to hand your luggage to the porter who will store it in the luggage room for you, free of charge.

Which credit cards does the ARCOTEL Wimberger accept?
AMEX, VISA, MASTER, DINERS and JCB

Where is the breakfast room? How long is it open? Can I also invite non-guests to join me for breakfast? Can I breakfast at the ARCOTEL Wimberger if I am not a guest myself?
The breakfast room is situated in the WIMBERGERs wia z'Haus and is open from 6.30 am to 10.00 am. You are very welcome to invite guests to breakfast or to breakfast here yourself when not a guest. The cost per person for the breakfast buffet is EUR 15.00.

Can I bring my dog to the hotel? Does this cost extra?
You are welcome to bring your dog. A surcharge of EUR 15.00 per day will be levied.

Where are coffee breaks held during the seminar?
In the foyer in front of your conference room.

What refreshments are offered during the coffee break?
Coffee, tea, orange juice, apple juice, mineral water and selected snacks.

Can I choose the snacks which will be available during the coffee break?
Yes, you can choose from a selection of coffee break snacks.

What drinks are available in the room?
Mineral water, orange juice and apple juice.

Where is lunch served during the seminar?
Lunch is served in the WIMBERGERs wia z'Haus, the hotel’s own restaurant.

Can I choose the evening menu instead of having lunch?
Yes, if you would prefer, you may choose the 3-course fixed-price menu of the day instead of lunch.

Is the cost of hiring the seminar and conferences rooms at the ARCOTEL Wimberger included in the daily rate?
In principle, the room hire charges are covered by the daily rate. However, if you require a much larger room, then you will also be charged half of the room hire rate for the larger room.

Are the seminar rooms at the ARCOTEL Wimberger lit by natural light?
Two of our seminar rooms have natural lighting.
