The ARCOTEL Velvet is located in one of the most vibrant parts of Berlin in the Oranienburger Straße and only few steps away from famous Friedrichstraße. The Museum Island, numerous restaurants and bars, the famous Hackeschen Höfe and the living art and cultural scene are within walking distance to the hotel.
- Near to the ARCOTEL Velvet you can reach the U-Bahn Line 6 "Oranienburger Tor“ on foot in only one minute.
- On foot the S-Bahn Lines S1 and S2 at the "Oranienburger Straße“ station are also only one minute away from the hotel. The M1, M6 tramlines and Line 12 stop directly in front of the hotel.
- Berlin's main railway station is also easily accessible (2.2 km away).
- The ICC trade fair site is 10 km away and can be reached by car in 15 minutes.
- Nearby sights worth seeing are the New Synagogue in Oranienburger Straße, the Friedrichstraße shopping street, the Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral, the Hackeschen Höfe, the Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Television Tower.

HOW TO GET TO US
Arrival by car
> From the West (Hanover or Munich): From the A2 or A9 you take the A10 at motorway junction Dreieck Werder as far as motorway junction Dreieck Potsdam, at the motorway junction Kreuz Drewitz take the A115 towards "Berlin-Zentrum". At the radio tower (Funkturm) you take the right-hand lane towards "Charlottenburg", exit "Kaiserdamm" then turn right into the Sophie-Charlotten-Straße. At the traffic lights turn right into Kaiserdamm (which becomes the Bismarckstraße) then continue towards the centre ("Mitte") and travel east along the Straße des 17. Juni to the Brandenburg Gate. Shortly before you reach this you turn right and then immediately turn left into the Behrenstraße. Turn left into the Friedrichstraße and after approx. 800 m turn right into Oranienburger Straße.
> From the North (Hamburg): From the A24 at motorway junction Dreieck Havelland you take the A10 towards "Oranienburg". At the Oranienburg motorway junction you take the A111 towards "Reinickendorf", take exit "Kaiserdamm" and turn left into the Knobelsdorff-Straße, then right into the Sophie-Charlotten-Straße. Important information for arrival by car
Since 1 January 2008, an emission sticker (Umweltplakette) is required for travelling inside Berlin’s green zone by car. As a result, you need it for driving to ARCOTEL Velvet. You can order this emissions sticker in advance on the Internet at www.umwelt-plakette.de

Arrival from the airport
The nearest airport is Berlin Tegel, which is approx. 10 km from the hotel. By taxi the airport can be reached in approx. 20 minutes, and by public transport in approx. 35 minutes. The trip by taxi to Berlin Schönefeld airport takes approx. 25 minutes, and by public transport it takes approx. 50 minutes.
