AHGZ-Ranking of hotel groups in Germany with the highest turnover
Berlin, 25th July 2012. On the 21st July the trade magazine Allgemeine Hotel- und Gastronomie-Zeitung published the annual rankings of the hotel groups in Germany with the highest turnover. The four German ARCOTEL Hotels came in 48th place, with 24.5 million Euros. Compared with last year they have risen one place.

Positive balance sheet for 2011
Berlin/Vienna, 7 June, 2012. The ARCOTEL Hotel AG ended the 2011 year with success. As CEO Manfred Mayer announced in Vienna yesterday, total revenue for the ARCOTEL Hotel AG amounted to EUR 6.6 million. The equity ratio for the past business year was 47.7 percent and EBT 20 percent. The ARCOTEL Hotel AG has thus succeeded in continuing its trend of improving results. Despite divestiture of one hotel in May 2011, the management of ARCOTEL Hotel AG was able to improve on the previous year’s results.
New design hotel on the Reeperbahn opening ahead of schedule on 16 May 2012

Hamburg, 9 May 2012. Hamburg‘s ARCOTEL Onyx will be welcoming its first guests next Wednesday. As CEO Manfred Mayer announced, Hamburg’s new Reeperbahn hotel will be opening its doors ahead of schedule on 16 May, instead of 1 June 2012 as initially planned.

Manfred Mayer has been CEO of the ARCOTEL Hotel AG since February 2007.

Vienna, 23 March 2012. The ARCOTEL Wimberger, a Viennese hotel with a long-standing tradition, appointed a new General Manager at the beginning of March: Heinz Stefan. Stefan worked as General Manager with ARCOTEL Hotels from 2005 to 2009 and is now responsible for the operative business at the ARCOTEL Wimberger.
ARCOTEL Hotels increase revenue again in 2011

Berlin, March 6, 2012. The nine ARCOTEL Hotels achieved an expected net revenue of EUR 54 million in 2011. Although the ARCOTEL Boltzmann Vienna has not been part of the Austrian business group since May 2011, ARCOTEL Hotels managed to exceed the previous year's revenue of EUR 53.08 million. The average occupancy rate was 75.02%. Compared to the previous year, overall revenue per room rose by EUR 1,501 to EUR 34,005.

Vienna, 24 January 2012. In January 2012, Bernd Reiter was appointed Resident Manager of the 4-star superior ARCOTEL Kaiserwasser Vienna hotel. 33-year-old Reiter has been holding various positions with ARCOTEL Hotels since 2007 and is now responsible for all operational processes in the hotel.
ARCOTEL Hotels gave away very special Christmas holidays

As part of the "ARCOTEL Bells" Christmas charity project ARCOTEL Hotels gave away a three-day break over Christmas for one needy family each from Austria and Germany. The families were treated to board and lodging in a 4-star-hotel of the ARCOTEL group. The winners of the competition were the L. family, a family of four from Steyr (Austria), and the N. family, a family of three from Hamburg (Germany).

Hotel markets in large cities such as Berlin or Vienna are crowded by an ever-increasing number of hotels vying for the guests’ favour. According to a recent study of Top Hotelprojects GmbH, a database provider for luxury building projects, more than 49 new projects are currently being planned in Berlin. Only those convincing their guests with demonstrable service quality will be able to hold out against the competition.
Rice tasting event in the historic Herrnhuterhaus house and fine food at the UNO restaurant

Last Saturday, 9 July 2011, customers at the Billa Corso gourmet supermarket in the Herrnhuterhaus were invited to sample the high quality of the hand-picked Lotao special rice varieties. As of April 2011, these speciality rices are also served at the UNO restaurant at the 4-star superior ARCOTEL Kaiserwasser hotel in Vienna.
