ARCOTEL Nike Linz - Location
On the banks of the river Danube, the ARCOTEL Nike is located in a green paradise, and still you can reach the old center of the Upper Austrian capital Linz in only a few minutes. The most popular cultural sights are just around the corner of the hotel and the so called "Art and Culture Mile", running next to the ARCOTEL Nike with its own sculpture garden "ARCOgARTen", attracts guests.
- Conveniently located for road traffic at the "Untere Donaulände", only an 800 m drive from the motorway A7 Mühlkreisautobahn and its exit "Hafenstrasse".
- Stops for public transport in the immediate vicinity (bus lines 12, 25, 26).
- Nearby you find the concert hall "Brucknerhaus", the "Lentos" Museum of Modern Art, the public swimming pool "Parkbad" and the ice rink. The "Ars Electronica Center", Museum of the Future, is located on the bank of the Danube across the river.
- Due to its unique location, you reach the historic Baroque centre of Linz featuring numerous sights and shopping opportunities in only a few minutes on foot, such as the "Landstrasse", Upper Austria's biggest shopping street.
- The public indoor car park and the parking deck located directly in front of the hotel offer more than 300 parking spots. For short-term-parking the first 30 minutes are free. For every additional half hour EUR 1.20 will be charged. All guests of ARCOTEL Nike get a reduced rate of EUR 13.00 for 24 hours.
HOW TO GET TO US
Arrival by car
> From the west and east: On the motorway A1, take the exit "Linz" and continue on the Mühlkreis motorway A7 in the direction of Prague and Freistadt to the exit "Hafenstraße", turn right into "Untere Donaulände" and after approx. 1 km upstream along the Danube River, you arrive at the ARCOTEL Nike.
> From the north: Drive on federal roads and the Mühlkreis motorway A7 in the direction of the A1 motorway to the exit "Hafenstraße", then turn right onto "Untere Donaulände" and after approx. 1 km upstream along the Danube River, you arrive at the ARCOTEL Nike.
> From the south: On the Pyhrn motorway A9, drive to the "Voralpenkreuz" intersection and continue on the A1 motorway in the direction of Vienna (Wien) to the exit "Linz". Take the Mühlkreis motorway A7 in the direction Prague and Freistadt to the exit "Hafenstraße", turn right onto "Untere Donaulände" and after approx. 1 km upstream along the Danube River, you arrive at the ARCOTEL Nike.
Arrival by train
After arriving at the main train station of Linz, take the bus 12 to the stop "Parkbad" where you can see the ARCOTEL Nike on the left-hand side. Or you take the tram line 1, 2 or 3 at the main train station to the stop "Hauptplatz" where you change to the bus 26 at the stop "Obere Donaulände" and get off at the stop "Brucknerhaus", where you can see the ARCOTEL Nike on your right-hand side. You may also choose to walk from Hauptplatz to the hotel downstream along the Danube River, which takes approx. 10 minutes.
Arrival from the airport
Arriving at the "Blue Danube Airport Linz" from several directions, continue by taxi for about 30 minutes to the ARCOTEL Nike.
Or with the bus line 601 "Flughafenbus" (daily departure every ½ hour, excepting Sundays at 2.30 p.m.) for about 20 minutes to the bus terminal at the main railway station "Hauptbahnhof". Then take bus line number 12 nine stops until stop "Parkbad". Next to the Parkbad you see the twelve-storey ARCOTEL Nike on your left.
Or from the main railway station "Hauptbahnhof" take trams number 1, 2 or 3 five stops until stop Main Square "Hauptplatz", continuing with bus line number 26 from stop "Obere Donaulände" one stop until stop "Brucknerhaus". Next to the concert hall Brucknerhaus you find the ARCOTEL Nike to your right.
Or instead, from stop "Hauptplatz" on foot for a 10-minute walk down the river Danube, passing the "Lentos" Museum of Modern Art and the concert hall "Brucknerhaus", until you reach the twelve-storey ARCOTEL Nike right next door.
